What is Sedation Dentistry?
Do you or someone that you know and love suffer from dental anxiety? Sadly, too many people in the world suffer from dental anxiety, and our team at Penterson and Booth is here to help address these fears through Sedation Dentistry. Dental anxiety may prevent patients from visiting our office regularly or even pursuing the recommended treatment by our dentists. A lack of routine dental care can lead to poor oral health which may result in the need for more extensive dental treatment. Our goal is to help use IV Sedation to bridge the gap and allow our patients to comfortably receive the quality dental care that they need and deserve. Our goal for our patients with dental anxiety is that they will be able to eventually receive dental care in the traditional dental setting without the need for Sedation or even Nitrous Oxide.
What is IV Sedation?
A combination of medication administered through an IV that enables complete relaxation in the dental chair. While sedated, you have the ability to respond to commands but will not remember any of the dental treatment that is performed.
Administered by trained Certified Nurse Anesthetists Cathy Harrison and Wendy Miller
